First edition, first OMNIA printing of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, inscribed by the author in blue ink on the dedication page ["to Jonathan with very best wishes, J.K. Rowling"]. Almost all copies of this title were signed by the author in mid-July 2000 during the renowned Hogwarts Express promotional tour. Inscribed copies are extremely rare, as only a few were provided, primarily to close associates. The few inscribed copies that have appeared on the market in recent years were all printed by Clays in England, which handled the majority of the production of this book. However, a small portion of the first edition was printed in Scotland by Omnia Press, making OMNIA printing inscribed copies exceptionally scarce: This might be the first one in the last two decades that surfaced the market. Jonathan s aunt was involved in staffing the 2000 Edinburgh Book Festival, hence able to have the book inscribed rather than just signed. The book comes with a Letter of Authenticity and a collector card containing interesting background information by J.K. Rowling signature expert Adam Houston of The Harry Potter Specialist. The copy is in fine condition with bright boards, a square and tight binding without tearing between the board and spine (a known problem of the Omnia printing), and only slightly pushed spine ends. The contents are clean throughout, without any foxing, names, or stamps. It comes with a fine unclipped dust jacket, with lightly creased spine tips, but otherwise without fading, loss, or tears.
