Original 1938 publication of Popeye the sailorman, 156 pages in overall clean condition just the very occassional small light mark and browning to edges of pages as usual due to qulity of paper used at publication. Neat gift inscription on front endpaper dated 1938.4 full page colour illustrations, some full page B/w illustrations plus many other smaller B/w and sigle colour illustrations, all present as published NO dustwrapper, outer illustrated boards are lightly marked with some wear to edges and especially to top front corner see image. Cloth spine is a little rubbed top and bottom, small tear to top rear of spine, 1 inch deep and split to top front of spine 1½ Inches deep,this seems to hsave split across the spine slightly but has been neatly repaired in the past.
