Number line of 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 , dropped text error (In the uncorrected proof of the book sent to reviewers, the word 'burnt' on page 7 was misspelled as 'burned'. While correcting, the "Enter" key was accidentally pressed, causing the rest of the sentence to move to the next line) and Joanne Rowling listed on the copyright page. According to Bloomsbury approximately 2.500 First State copies were printed [see Errington, p 187]. Most of these copies have been included in collections over the past twenty years. Near fine copy with sharp spine ends and cornertips. Some very small dust spots on the top edge, not interfering with the pages. Neat little inscription on the first free endpaper, tight binding, bright and clean pages with only very minor browning of the edges. The first state dust jacket is also in a great condition. Very light discoloration and a tiny dust spot on the inside, outside fine without any fading and without any corner- or shelfwear. Jacket now protected by a removable Brodart archival cover.
