Auf 150 nummerierte Exemplare limitierte Art Edition Ross Lovegroves für die deutsche Uhrenfirma Junghans, bestehend aus neun Offsetdrucken auf schwerem Karton, Blattgröße 29,8 x 21 cm, Bildgröße jeweils 24,6 x 16 cm. Auf einem beiliegenden Kolophonblatt ("Philosophy Statement") vom Künstler handschriftlich nummeriert und signiert. Unser Exemplar trägt die Nummer 22. "The Studies explore the extreme potential of organic forms in space. They do function as a product or as furniture, indeed they enjoy the total freedom of creating free form sculptures that have appeared in my mind in a virtual condition, now translated into three dimensions. This is the first time I have been sponsored by a company to let my subconscious open up and reveal the organic dreams that exist within me. They will, I hope, remain open to individual interpretation in the way that Art is rarely categoric, maybe stimulating a later definition as furniture or architecture in a broader context, depending on their adaptation and combination of technology" (Künstlerstatement auf Kolophonblatt). Ross Lovegrove (* 1958 in Cardiff, Wales) ist ein britischer Industriedesigner. Bekannt wurde er vor allem durch seine Arbeit am Sony Walkman. Seine Werke sind von organischen Formen und Strukturen inspiriert. Lovegrove war Designer des Jahres 2001 der Zeitschrift A & W (Architektur & Wohnen). Sprache: englisch.
