After taking inspiration from books, from characters who have gone down in history for their irreverence, poems, operas and even his own flaws, Gérald Ghislain resumes his conversations with painting, which began with inspiration from a canvas by Magritte from which he took the name of one of his collections: Ceci n'est pas un flacon bleu. This time it is the Renaissance that stimulates Ghislain's creative flair and in particular the most famous painting in the world: Leonardo Da Vinci's Mona Lisa. Faithful to his custom of naming almost all his creations with a number, with 7753 Histoires de Parfums chooses, on this occasion, not to refer to a date but to the dimensions of the portrait of Mona Lisa (oil on panel 77 x 53 cm). In composing 7753, Gérald Ghislain did not want to represent the fragrance of a woman from the past, but the perfume of a timeless ideal of woman and femininity. The result of this careful work is a fragrance rich in nuances and chiaroscuro that reflects with admirable verisimilitude the elusive and enigmatic character that shines through from the most intriguing features of Mona Lisa: her gaze, her smile, her hands. 7753 opens with a bright green note, with notes of bergamot, Ma Khaen berries and an ivy accord.
