Below the Publisher's inscription is an ink inscription traced over a pencil inscription - "Mr. Munsell's notes form a valuable part of this volume." At the bottom of the "Note to Second Edition" page is the written ink name of G A Worth traced over a pencil name. 8 pages of illustrations and text have pen and pencil marginalia regarding observations presumably made by the publisher or Mr. Bogart. William Henry Bogart was the author of the book "Who Goes There? The first edition of this book was published in 1849 followed by the second edition in 1850.
