This lovely pictorial map of Montreal and the surrounding area was issued in the mid-20th century by the Provincial Transport Company. The firm operated the local branch of Gray Line Tours, a worldwide sightseeing organization that started in 1910 with a refurbished Mac truck driving through Washington, D.C. The image, signed E.S. in the lower right, accompanies the centerfold position in a promotional brochure to encourage tourism in Montreal. Lower duty prices on alcohol, cosmetics, linens, and other souvenirs are heavily emphasized throughout, as well as several tour options across the region. Sheet Width (in) 24 Sheet Height (in) 9 Condition Description Centerfold pictorial map in a six panel, six page folding brochure. Light wear along the outer edges of the sheet, including a small tear in the lower center. The brochure shows some faint wear and toning, consistent with age and use. Very good overall.
