Uber-scarce in the trade, there being only a single copy of this apparent First Edition available, and in only one library currently, in Lyon, France. Latin-language tome, a Catholic Church confessional, measuring 6 1/2" x 3 1/2" tall and wide, respectively. Bound in full leather, front board being bowed a bit, featuring five raised bands to spine, five fleurs-de-lis there, and short title ("manual") being stamped sharply into one compartment. Red and blue-speckled page edges, lightly wavy text-block, but clean and unmarked of interior but for first and final pages. Date of publication not stated, but appears to be c. 1766 according to a Worldcat dot org entry. Sharply penned inscription at first free endpaper dated to 1770 and then similar hand has penned extensive chronology at final page, verso and recto.
