Malossi secondary gear 14/47 piaggio after 1998 This Malossi secondary gear set (14/47) fits all Piaggio 2-stroke engines from year 1998 onwards. The set includes a 17 mm shaft with a smooth end (17 mm diameter). A longer gear ratio allows the engine to transfer its power more effectively — but only if the engine provides enough performance to handle it. On heavily tuned setups, this kind of gearing delivers a clear advantage. It's not recommended for use with stock engines. Installation Note:The original large gear must be pressed onto the Malossi secondary shaft. This requires special tools and/or a hydraulic press. We can offer you gearboxes from Stage6 that do not require pressing.
