'Ce recueil celebre est connu sous le nom de grand Koenig; les coloris en sont tres soignes. Les gravures ont ete faites d'apres les tableaux, peints par Reinhardt pour M. Meyer, qui representaient des personnages dans les costumes de leur canton.'- Colas. Plates I-XXII (of XXIV, lacking the two Toggenburg plates) each with a mounted leaf of text in smaller size, some of which with contemporary MS additions. The plates soft-ground etchings after Joseph Reinhardt all with contemporary colour. Lacking also the text leaf for plate ten & the four leaves of preface. In the publisher's glazed boards, gilt blocked, which are stained & worn, lacking spine. The mounts upon which the text mounted with frequent loss and some staining, though the mounted text without defects. The plates clean with some occasional light marks to the margins. Vg.
