Size: Frame 58.5 x 77 cm, print inside mount 40 x 57 cm Condition: Print in excellent condition, good used frame and mount. A very good large print by established artist Arthur Byrne, who was born in America but worked in Britain, and was a member of the influential Charlotte Press Group of Printmakers in the 1970s. This copy is not signed by the artist, or if it is the signature is beneath the mount. The label on the back records the title as "Conservatory" and it would have been made in an edition of about 250 proofs. Provenance: The Derbyshire Education Committee Museums Service, with their label on the back of the frame. The print has its own rather splendid carrying case. Arthur Byrne is a highly skilled lithographic artist who has gained recognition for his technical proficiency and ability to capture the beauty of nature in his work.
