Billet Autographe Cuvier, Georges

10 x 8 cm , 1831, , 10 x 8 cm, 1 feuillet, Petit papillon manuscrit attribué à Georges Cuvier (1769-1832), indiquant l'origine et la destination d'une météorite : "Fragment de la pierre aérolithe tombée à Vouillé dept de la Vienne le 18 juillet 1831. Destiné pour le Muséum d'histoire naturelle". Un numéro d'inventaire, 42, est inscrit à l'encre rouge. Une inscription ultérieure précise : "Cette étiquette a été écrite par le baron Cuvier". Cette attribution est confirmée par les nombreux documents manuscrits (billets, lettres, étiquettes, cours, etc.) laissés par Cuvier, par comparaison d'écriture. Les météorites tombées à Vouillé au cours de l'année 1831 sont du type L6 (chondrite ordinaire du groupe L, de type pétrologique 6).
