Solvent-Based, Breathable Water Repellent for Masonry Surfaces Biokil Crown Water Repellent is a clear, solvent-based treatment designed to protect masonry surfaces from penetrating damp. Formulated with polyoxo aluminium stearate in white spirit, it penetrates deeply into substrates, providing long-lasting protection while allowing the surface to breathe. Product Details Appearance: Clear liquid. Base: Polyoxo aluminium stearate in white spirit. Coverage: Approximately 2–5 m² per litre per coat, depending on substrate porosity. Packaging: Available in 5L and 25L containers. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and sources of ignition. Application Instructions Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from contaminants. Remove any loose material, dirt, or biological growth. Application: Apply using a low-pressure spray or brush. For best results, allow the fluid to run down the wall with minimal pressure to avoid misting. Drying Time: Surface dry in approximately 1 hour; fully cured after 24 hours. Clean-Up: Clean tools and equipment with white spirit immediately after use. Limitations Not suitable for use on new or recently pointed work due to high alkalinity. Do not apply if rain is expected within 24 hours or if temperatures are below 5°C.
