Written by Joel Cook, he describes the military operations of Major-General George B. McClellan during the months of May and June in 1862. The book covers the events leading up to the Seven Days Battles, including the Union Army s attempt to capture Richmond. It provides a detailed account of the strategic maneuvers and battles that took place during this time.
