Undated, but internal evidence suggests 1914. Very good condition. Scarce promotional piece for Dade City and Pacso County, Florida, located northeast of Tampa Bay and west of Orlando. Pasco County's motto at the time was "We have the opportunity, We Want the man," and this booklet opens with a call for "the industrious farmer and fruit grower to come here and profit from the cultivation of these prolific acres" and the assertion that "the west-central section of Florida is developing more rapidly than any part of the state," due to its perfect climate for growing "all kinds of vegetables and semi-tropical fruits in mid-winter, when prices are highest." The text goes on to describe the region's soil and climate, water, and schools and churches before providing details and statistics on all kinds of agricultural opportunities (citrus, tobacco, livestock, etc.), as well as the lumber and turpentine industries and the accessibility of markets.Not found in OCLC.
