Machine taps are used in tapping machines, vertical drilling and milling machines. M1-M3.5 micro taps process wood and soft metals with lower hardness, mainly used in clocks and watches.--- The high speed steel tool has high hardness, high strength, good toughness, wear resistance, and heat resistance. Only the base substrate, without any additional coatings, good for a wide range of applications. The tapping depth should not exceed 1.5 times the diameter (eg: diameter=6mm (M6), maximum tapping depth=9mm). Drill holes with a twist drill before tapping. The tapping angle should be 90 degrees vertical and stable. Add appropriate tapping oil for higher quality internal threads and more durable taps.Useful Tips:--- Control speed based on material hardness. Feed rate (recommended): ordinary steel (copper aluminium alloy): 6-15m/min; hard steel: 5-10m/min; stainless steel: 2-7m/min; cast iron: 8-10m/min. The higher the hardness, the slower the speed. Fast speed and low torque; slow speed and high torque. When tapping plastic, add lubricating coolant. For steel, motor oil is generally used, and vegetable oil is used for high requirements. Use No. 30 motor oil for stainless steel.
