Die vorliegende Sektion "Feuille No. IV" der monumentalen Karte zur Illustration von Napoleons Feldzug zeigt: die Gebiete von Wasserburg im NW (Chiemsee, Rosenheim etc.) bis Gerlos, Mittersill im SW (Kitzbühel, Hopfgarten, Kufstein etc.) sowie Kremsmünster im NO (Attersee, Mondsee, Traunsee, Wolfgangsee, Hallstätter See, Ausseerland etc.) bis Tamsweg, St. Peter am Kammersberg im SO (Schladming, Radstadt, Mauterndorf etc.). Bacler d Albe (1761-1824) was captain of artillery and served with the Army of Italy. With Bonaparte s arrival, he was employed as a topographical officer and draughtsman. He was made chef de bataillon and head of the Topographical Bureau of the army. On 23 September 1804, he became head of the Emperor s topographical office. The Bacler d Albe map was mostly executed in the late 1790s but was lost to the Austrians until the Peace of Luneville in Feb. 1801.
