Descrizione
(undated but likely from Christmas 1963). Christmas card, hand-written and signed by the Rev. W. Awdry. On one side is a 12-line note, expressing Awdrys interest and research in trains (following a 3 day visit to the Patent Office Library) and on the other is his signature (notably in his full name (Wilbert Awdry) as opposed to the usual initial and surname. The identity of the recipient (Robert) is unknown but this is certainly an interesting piece of Awdry ephemera. Printed by Judges Ltd of Hastings the card was produced for the Welshpool & Llanfair Railway Co. Ltd and shows a winter scene. Photographs/scans available upon request.
