Contemporary black morocco with an elaborate decorative design stamped in gold on both boards and spine, cream yellow endpapers, all edges gilt. Small early owner's name in ink on front free endpaper. Edges of the boards and corners lightly rubbed, the title page and engraved plates are foxed, a few gatherings slightly sprung, good or better.
