The variator and pulleys are now almost entirely made of aluminum, making them significantly lighter than previous models. The variator halves feature a ceramic coating, whose durable, slightly rough surface helps reduce power losses. The Evolution Speed Drive comes as an oversized rear pulley with two selectable ramp angles (36° and 38°), allowing precise tuning of the engine’s power delivery. Combined with the Evolution variator in front and the Evolution belt, this expands the transmission range. Engine power can be maintained across a wide RPM range, resulting in significantly improved acceleration. We also recommend using the Evolution3 belt from Polini for optimal performance.
