Early printing, December 1966, publisher's code M-Q to copyright page. Date code 0666 to front flap of dust jacket, not price clipped. White uncoated dust jacket is heavily soiled with damp stained rippling to front cover and spot of wax just above author's name. Pink mark to front cover near top edge. Spine is darkened so that publisher's name is barely legible. Chipping and shelf wear to top edges and head and tail of spine. Corners bumped and chipped. Bottom edge is rather intact. Flaps are darkened around outer edges. Black cloth-covered boards are fairly clean, corners bumped, a little fading to top and bottom edges. Periwinkle spine titling is very slightly rubbed here and there but still bright and legible. Publisher's colophon on front cover is clean and bright. Boards bow slightly outward. Interior is age-toned with some foxing to rear endpapers. Slight soiling here and there throughout. Erased pencil notations to poem "Ariel." Binding tight.
