Prognostic And Health Management Of Overhead Contact Lines For High-Speed Railway

This book summarizes the findings of several research projects on high-speed Overhead Catenary Systems (OCS). It covers the system's functions, key components and failure modes, as well as reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety metrics, along with methods for component-level design and system-level reliability allocation. It also presents dynamic models and simulation analyses for single and double pantograph operations, introduces exogenous failure prediction under conditions such as lightning, strong wind, and haze, and explores endogenous fault and risk prediction using Bayesian networks.
