The Text Block is clean, white, tight, straight and square with no markings of any kind. The Binding is full gray cloth, faded at the spine, with a gilt design on the front board, gilt title, etc., to spine, white endpapers unmarked but for a prior owner's signature on the front free endpaper. and all corners square and sharp. The price-clipped Binding is of uniform color, with a 1" tear at the bottom of the rear panel discreetly closed from behind with archival (pH neutral) materials, and wear at the head of spine and folds.
