Very good in like dust jacket. John Koenig Jr's attractive Dr. Johnson bookplate ('Sir, a desire of knowledge is the natural feeling of mankind.') to front pastedown; 1935 note in ink to front flyleaf; some offsetting to pp. 15 and 89. Gutter cracked at rear, in the midst of advertisements. Jacket heavily toned at spine panel, with light edgewear and a touch of soiling. Binding square and otherwise sound. Text otherwise unmarked.
