Published by the husband of the late Mrs. Arthur T. (Hattie) Bolton, this privately printed memorial volume includes a rather charming introduction by the architect Arthur Bolton, setting the work against it's Victorian backdrop and giving an account of the meeting and courtship of his wife. Mrs. Bolton was initially hired as a nurse for Arthur Bolton's parents in 1895 and their first trip, to Paris in 1896, was in this capactity, however, by 1897 they were married and their wedding tour to Egypt and Italy makes the subject for the second of her journal. Includes 40 black and white photographs of the authors and their travels, [vi] pp. 132. Unnumbered copy of 50 printed. Bound in cream cloth with gilt titles to spine, blue endpapers. Octavo. A little bowed, some spotting to top edge, gilt a little faded otherwise very good condition.
