FILIPPO SORCINELLI Plein jeu III-V Extrait de Parfum 50 ml The free polyphony of the angels. The Plein jeu is an organ register composed of several rows of pipes that on una keyboard note, speak simultaneously. It is considered the typical sound of the classical organ. This blend of sounds is made up of increasingly smaller pipes that produce a rather high-pitched sound, almost beyond the human hearing threshold. In Italy, it has a similar equivalent in the register called ripieno. Plein jeu or prélude have also become specific musical forms thanks to this register, mostly homogeneous pieces in tempo binary or quaternary. They are proper as introductory pieces and make use of broad, deep notes.
