A History Of The American Revolution Intended As A Reading Book For Schools Williams, Samuel Americana,Childrens

A school boy's history text with his signature (William Baker) in ink throughout the text, along with a pencil note that runs over a number of pages to his friend explaining that he is about to switch schools. Master Baker has also practiced his pen skills on the title page. 8vo, xii, 13-204pp 5 plates in text (Trenton, Quebec, Bunker's Hill, Saratoga & Surrender of Cornwallis). Page 149 includes reference to Major Andre's capture. Full brown calf quite worn, but very evocative, as you would expect a school book to look in Stonington in 1827.
