1933 FIRST PRINTING of First Edition. Original light blue cloth, navy title patch with white lettering front and spine. This is the true first edition, NOT the Literary Guild edition. The book has clean covers, fading to spine and covers (common for this book, even for examples with dust jacket, cracked EP hinges but hinges strong and not loose, no previous owner marks or writing on any pages, no foxing, solid binding, The book measures 221mm tall x 152mm, and has 399 pages, 22 b/w photos, EP maps, index. Author studied the area & people living around the headwaters of the Koyukuk River north of the Arctic Circle in 1929, 1930. He spent 150 days traveling afoot across the lands exploring. PHOTOS ARE OF THE ACTUAL BOOK BEING OFFERED.
