Place the free end of the new exhaust flex pipe on it and adjust the position of the muffler and downpipe until it is straight but without tension. 3. Pass the bolt through the hole at the end of the exhaust flex pipe connected to the muffler flange. Tighten them to secure the pipe to the flange. 4. Place a new clamp where the exhaust flex pipe meets the downpipe and tighten it. Retighten the bolts that secure the muffler and downpipe.
