Unplug the plug, use tools to loose the old spherical joint and insert new one. 3. Plug the liftgate plug and recover the inner trim panel. 4. Use diagnostic scanner to clear error code, just use scanner to clear if show negative/occasional; replace the lift struts if show permanent. 5.Confirm the L/R mark on struts before install it on your tailgate. Methods to Active Tailgate Remote Function: 1. Push the trunk close button. 2. Close the tailgate by hand slowly and push the trunk open button. 3. Use diagnostic scanner to reset control module and push trunk close button.
