The mission was entrusted to Elisabeth de Feydeau, Doctor of History and consultant in luxury perfumery, who examined the olfactory context of the time and manufacturing methods, the Emperor's personality and the eternal values of the character, as well as the legacy of the Decorative Arts of his historical context. Two years of research led to the creation of EAU DE GLOIRE, thus making it possible to reconstruct the olfactory trail of Napoleon Bonaparte. The archives reveal the olfactory sensitivity of the Emperor, to whom his close relatives attributed a particularly fine sense of smell. When he met Josephine in 1795, then widowed Beauharnais, he spoke of her "amber and perfumed skin".
