PARFUM D'EMPIRE Eau de Gloire EDP 50 ml The Emperor's most intimate secrets have been revealed by an in-depth analysis of the authentic archives of the time. The mission was entrusted to Elisabeth de Feydeau, Doctor of History and consultant in luxury perfumery, who examined the olfactory context of the time and manufacturing methods, the Emperor's personality and the eternal values of the character, as well as the legacy of the Decorative Arts of his historical context. Two years of research led to the creation of EAU DE GLOIRE, thus making it possible to reconstruct the olfactory trail of Napoleon Bonaparte. The archives reveal the olfactory sensitivity of the Emperor, to whom his close relatives attributed a particularly fine sense of smell. When he met Josephine in 1795, then widowed Beauharnais, he spoke of her "amber and perfumed skin". The Emperor reveals a marked sensitivity towards nature, shown by his need to communicate with it, the best way for him to regain his strength: “When I am in the open air, I feel that ideas take a higher, more relaxed direction. I cannot conceive that there are men whose work can achieve success without communication with the sky” (Napoleon, quoted by Laure d'Abrantès, Memoirs) Starting from the Emperor's olfactory preferences and his daily habits, this fragrance represents the trail of a man who lived in legend. An Eau de Parfum that opens on the sparkling freshness of citrus fruits and green notes, fades around aromatic plants and asserts its personality with warm accents of leather mixed with tobacco and hay. It is the harmony of opposites, hot and cold, transparent notes and rich natural materials, sweetness and vigor. A fragrance in contrast with the image of a fascinating but complex character. A masculine trail of character and passion. Top Notes: Bergamot, Lemon, Orange, Rosemary, Neroli and Lavender. Heart Notes: Anise, Liquorice, Tea. Base Notes: Tobacco, Leather, Incense and hints of Corsican Maquis (Everlasting, Cistus, Oakmoss). EDP 50 ml
