This lovely pictorial map of Dartmouth College offers a charming overview of the small campus in Hanover, New Hampshire, first established in 1769 as one of nine colonial colleges founded before the American Revolution. 'Dedicated to the Alumni of D.O' over 250 years later, the image presents a simple plan centered on the College Green. Important buildings are illustrated and labeled, while further vignettes highlight the evolution of various 'uniforms' and historic sites on campus. Future construction is also noted, encouraging alumni to contribute to the continuing story of Dartmouth's development. Designed by Jens Frederick Larson (signed J.F.L. in the lower right), the college architect in residence, and published in 1928 by the Dartmouth College Alumni Fund. Scarce, with only two entries noted in WorldCat at Dartmouth and the University of South Carolina.
