As-is, with minor rubbing and wear to boards, primarily along edges and corners. Front hinge and spine completely and cleanly split from text block. Some lesser hinge wear to rear. Text block itself remains bound well, with light markings and marginalia at front. Includes a handful of black-and-white illustrations throughout. Catalogue at rear of both books by the same publisher. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A scarce 1st edition of a semi-fictional tale of the mutineers of the Bounty, who set Captain William Bligh and 18 others adrift in 1789, with many settling on Pitcairn Island and creating families with native Polynesians.
