There are two pages of illustrated advertisements for baseball gear at the back. Evans, nicknamed "The Boy Umpire," became the youngest umpire in major league history at age 22, and the youngest umpire to officiate the World Series at age 25. He worked in the American League from 1906 to 1927. Condition:Clean covers and spine. Light creasing at the cover corners. There are bits of paper missing at the top and center of the spine. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Both covers are firmly attached. There are 2 small tears at the right edge of the back cover. The pages are in excellent condition and appear unread - clean with no issues found. The staples have left rust outlines on the facing inside covers. Overall the book is in Very Good condition.
