Men From Earth Aldrin, Buzz [Weinberger, Caspar] Space

Octavo, xxii, 312pp, [2]. Purple hardcover, black cloth spine. The first edition, with a full number line. Bookplate from Weinberger library on front endpaper. In the publisher's dust jacket, $19.95 on front flap, light sunning to spine, a near fine example. Inscribed on the half title: "To Cap Weinberger, With Best Wishes, Buzz Aldrin." A unique association copy. Buzz Aldrin, born Edwin Eugene Aldrin Jr. in 1930, is an American engineer and former astronaut. He was the Lunar Module Pilot on the Apollo 11 mission, the first manned lunar landing in history, which occurred on July 20, 1969. Aldrin, along with Neil Armstrong, became one of the first two humans to walk on the Moon's surface. He served as a fighter pilot in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and later joined NASA. After leaving NASA in 1971, Aldrin pursued a career in academia and aerospace consulting, advocating for continued space exploration and colonization of Mars.
