[Signed] [First Edition] Midnight's Children Rushdie, Salman [Used - Near Fine] [Hardcover]

First edition (truly; the London edition edition was later, although the copyright page states "First American Edition"; there was a transport strike that prevented the British copies, printed in America, from arriving). One inch long tear to top edge of dust-wrapper; else fine (without the fading to the spine so common in other copies). A lovely copy of one of the most celebrated books of the twentieth century. A chronicle beginning in the early moments of India's independence from Britain. It was named the Booker of Bookers, and is the only book ever to have recieved two Man Booker Awards. Signed by Rushdie on the title page. Modern Library 100.
