Set of three 1960s 'Pooh' books in their scarce dust jackets. Only missing 'Now We Are Six'. Matching formats with jackets in red, green and blue (one price-clipped and two unclipped), and bindings to match. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. Winnie-the-Pooh': 853rd Thousand, reprinted 1964 for the 55th time. 'The House at Pooh Corner': 704th Thousand, reprinted 1963 for the 40th time. 'When We Were Very Young': 863rd Thousand, reprinted 1962, for the 61st time. The dust jackets are bright with minor soiling, rubbing, and a few small chips and tears; minor spotting to top and bottom edges of some flaps, and to reverse of Winnie-the-Pooh which also has a faint stain to bottom edge of front flap. These minor faults do not detract from their charm. The books are clean and bright with 'Winnie-the-Pooh' gilt slightly dulled. Minor rubbing, mostly to spine tips and corners. Slight forward leans to 'Winnie-the-Pooh' and 'When We Were Very Young'. All three volumes have the original illustrated endpapers drawn by E. H. Shepard, and his b/w drawings throughout. They are solidly bound with hinges intact, although 'When We Were Very Young' does have one cracked gutter, exposing the sewing and webbing beneath. Contents clean without inscriptions, foxing or other markings. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. A delightful set of three of the most popular children's books ever written, complete with the scarce dust jackets, and all in very good condition. Additional images available on request or these may be viewed on my eBay listing. All orders professionally packed, tracked and/or signed for, and insured.
