352pp, illustrated by the author, tan cloth with blue titles at cover and spine, and shanty boat motif at cover, map pastedowns and endpapers, with journey timeline, light general wear, top edge of rear cover faded a bit, along with lower corner, both as noted in pictures, overall clean and bright. Inscription signed by author tipped-in at title page: "For L____ D____ / Harlan Hubbard." From our personal collection. We corresponded with the author from our bookstore in Louisville, KY, for several years in the 1980s, and also visited with him multiple times, at Payne Hollow, and in Louisville on occasion, such as when he was given the Governor's Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Arts by the KY Arts Council. He would also sign books through the mail as long as we included a self-addressed, pre-posted package for their return. This is his first book. Unique.
