The Japan World Exposition was one of the first World's Fairs ever hosted in Asia, with nearly 80 countries participating in the seven-month-long event. The theme was 'Progress and Harmony for Mankind', with space exploration a central component. This attractive plan of the exposition grounds in Osaka was published as a souvenir for the event. Various pavilions, parking areas, attractions, and transportation routes are labeled in both Japanese and English. A border of flags, in the order of their application for participation, surrounds the central image.
