Blue cloth boards with gilt lettering and rule on spine and front board. Gilt and black decoration on front board. Page dimensions: 230 x 209mm. All page edges gilt. Contents covers postages stamps from around the world. With in-text illustrations of postage stamps. The frontispiece is a pasted in albument print, a portrait of two gentlemen, with two signatures below the print which appear to be printed lithographically. The 12 pages at the rear are "A Catalogue of the Postage Stamps Envelopes, etc., of the United Kingdom during the fifty years that have elapsed since their introduction."
