The sale included clothes and accessories belonging to Denise, Paul and their children created by the designer, designs for Martine (Poiret's interior design business), perfumes by the Poiret Rosine label, and archival material. Azzedine Alaia held an exhibition of the objects before the sale. Many of the pieces were purchased by the Metropolitan Musem of Art, who held a retrospective of Poiret's work in 2007.
