Myst Island - Map Issued To Accompany One Of The Most Popular And Influential Pc Games Ever Published. Broderbund

This attractive pictorial map provides an overview of Myst Island, the setting for the wildly popular 1993 game Myst. Originally released for the Macintosh, the game's positive reception would spawn numerous ports and adaptions, ultimately becoming the best-selling PC game for nearly a decade (until surpassed by the Sims). Players would journey across the island, in first person, while solving puzzles and finding clues that would advance the story. Various books opened several mini-worlds, known as 'Ages', and are shown in the four insets. There are no enemies and the game cannot be lost, offering an unusual exploratory style of play that continues to be popular today. Sheet Width (in) 18 Sheet Height (in) 20 Condition Description Creasing along originally issued fold lines and pinholes in each corner. Some wear and wrinkling at the top of the centerfold and the lower margin is perforated, indicating the map was likely extracted from a game guide. Manuscript writing on the verso does not affect the image. Good to very good overall.
