It comes with a removable wedge-shaped rubber saddle, designed to increase the surface area of the clamp when attaching it to a flat surface, increasing its grip strength. When mounting to a pole such as a light stand, c-stand, or truss system, simply remove the rubber saddle which allows the Nano-Clamp to grip onto the surface more firmly.
