1947 National Travel Club USA Edition. This seems to have been concurrently published with the first USA edition. It is basically the same but for collectors it cannot be considered the true first edition even though it has "First Edition" printed on the copyright page. Original black cloth with gilt lettering spine, publisher's emblem in gilt on front cover. The book has clean covers, very faint cover spotting that seems to afflict most examples of this book (not bad), no previous owner marks or writing on any pages, a little foxing on EPs but no foxing on pages, solid binding. The original dust jacket is in better than usual for this book (very fragile and usually quite worn) with light soiling rear, 2cm tear upper rear, 5mm deep loss top of spine, slight fading spine but less than usual, The book measures 209mm tall x 138mm, and has 266 pages, EP map at front, and 6 b/w photos on rear EP.
