Tan leather bound, hardback book with gilt decoration and titles on the spine. Marbled endpapers and marbled inside front and back boards and marbled first and last page. No jacket. This stunning book is in fabulous condition considering its over one hundred and forty years old. Normal wear, marks and tear apply consistent with use and age. Slight wear to spine, water mark to top left hand side of front board (luckily no sign of water damage inside.) The odd brown mark, overall this book is amazing considering its age. Still has the tissue guard paper over the title page. Inscription on first blank page, City of London School, 4th Class, Prize awarded for Mathematics and signed by E. Chisman, Midsummer 1884. 804 pages, all intact and nice tight binding, all pages, text, maps and fantastic illustrations are all in really good, clean, readable order. A fabulous book that deserves to be preserved for future generations.
