Just magnificently restored and rebound preserving the original decorated leather and gilt boards and spine with beveled edges and spine bars as well as the original endpages. Outer page edges are also gilt covered and there is a gilt design to the inner edges of the boards. The hinges are now strong and secure. The book's exterior leather is extremely clean with a few minor scratches or rubs. Some pages have water stains to the edges, especially the first few, but most are clean and lightly toned, unmarked and undamaged. There is a Sinsheimer family bookplate on the front pastedown. A remarkably beautiful example of this fine history of Santa Clara County packed with interesting illustrations. It will be bubble-wrapped and shipped in a sturdy box to ensure safe transit. This is a very heavy volume that would require extra funds to be shipped outside of the United States.
