Originally published in 1920. The 231st Infantry Brigade with which this diary is chiefly concerned came into extence in January 1917 at a time when its compoent parts were engaged in the campaign against the Senussi distributed in the Western Desert of Egypt and the Oases from Sollum to Dakhala.
