The second book in Enid Blyton's Faraway Tree trilogy. Charmingly illustrated by Dorothy M. Wheeler, often with amusing sub titles - see images of crying policemen and the children looking at a biscuit tree. Carmine red cloth boards with black titles on the front and on the spine. Pictorial dust jacket, which is rubbed and chipped; especially at the head of the spine; where some of the paper is missing (main image). Some tanning internally. Book condition (external): the cloth boards are a little rubbed in places - with some fading of the colour along the spine. Condition (internal): quite heavy tanning with occasional spotting; especially on the preliminary and final pages.
