Rare antique 1837 abridged edition. The book is overall in good- condition with some signs of wear and age. It has a nice and fairly recent rebinding in somewhat flexible marbled paper covered boards. The covers only have some light wear. The binding is good and sound. The interior is toned from age with some staining, foxing & grubbiness. The title page and front flyleaf have a name inscription and some pages have some underlining & notation. Along with that there may be the very occasional page with some kind of minor imperfection, such as a light a tiny chip or tear, creased page corner, etc. The book measures approximately 7 7/8 inches by 5 1/4 inches and is 96 pages long with an additional 8 page advertisement at the rear for Morison's Vegetable Universal Medicine. It is illustrated with a black and white portrait and one black and white plate.
