True first British printing with original unclipped jacket (18s). Translated from the German by Denver Lindley. Jacket has faults - namely edge/shelf wear, fading/browning to spine, a few (fairly large) tears, few marks, patchy loss (mainly to head/tail of spine and to corners), creasing/rubbing to edges, pushing/rubbing to head/tail of spine, pushing/bumping to corners, patchy browning/odd small marks/odd spots of foxing to reverse (white side), little rubbing/creasing/browning to front/back inner flaps and is in only fair condition. Boards are near fine (having been well protected by the jacket) with minor pushing/bumping to corners, light crease to spine (book has been read), the odd minor bump/rub to edges and a little pushing/rubbing to head/tail of spine. Pages are generally clean and the binding is tight. Pages bit tanned. Previous owner's name, date, location in pen to front end-paper where there is also previous owner's embossed stamp and another date code in pen. Very occasional small mark/spot of foxing to pages.
